Mumtaz Society i s an initiative of three Kenyan Muslim women who were inspired by other influential women in Islamic history including Hafsa bint Umar.
It was founded in 2011 and legally registered under the societies act. •The membership has since grown and broadened to be all inclusive. Mumtaz Society is a prolific, holistic institution with wills and legacy that works directly with the poor, vulnerable and marginalized communities in Kenya towards uplifting their living conditions by motivating development initiatives.
Mumtaz Society’s distinctive advantage lies i n its deep Social and Cultural Matter experience i n Islamic affairs. Mumtaz Society also comprehends the indigenous knowledge and cultural nuances necessary for navigating the complex social terrain in Kenya.
For the last 15 yrs. since its inception, Mumtaz Society has grown to b e the leading, seasoned philanthropic agency on Islamic issues nationally, equipped with the ability to address issues and emerging challenges with tailor made solutions
